Studio 255 is a studio for photography. In photography everything depends on light and color. The logo is based on the RGB color system, in which these colors (red, green and blue) in full saturation are marked with the value of 255. When you layer this pure colors, it turns out as white (in contrast with, for example, layers of ink: then it will turn out black.) In the logo, the overlap determines the form of the letters, because that's what remains when putting the colors on eachother:
